NEET PG Merit List 2018

The one exam that every graduate doctor in India needs to crack to get entrance into post-graduation courses in medical and dental fields is NEET PG 2018, National Entrance and Eligibility Test for Post Graduate courses. It is the single national level medical eligibility cum entrance examination in India, organized by NBE (National Board of Examinations).

NEET PG 2018 application forms are available from 31st October 2017. Candidates, who want to appear in this national level medical exam, must submit their NEET PG 2018 application form before the last date which is 27th November 2017.

NEET PG 2018 Result will be declared by January 31, 2018. NBE is responsible for declaration of result of NEET PG 2018. On the basis of NEET PG 2018 score candidates will get admitted to top colleges and universities of the country.

NBE provides rank of each candidate which further looks into counseling and admission process. NBE publishes NEET PG 2018 result at the official website nbe.edu.in which is the official website for the exam. Candidates must obtain minimum marks corresponding to cut off percentile in order to be eligible for admission to any postgraduate course. The rank obtained as per result of NEET PG 2018 is valid only for one academic session.

NEET PG 2018: Cut Off:

Candidates should obtain good marks somewhere near the cut off marks in order to qualify. The cut off for NEET PG 2018 is as follows.

Candidates can send concerns regarding state quota seats, reservation to state counseling authorities.

Candidates scoring more than or equal to the minimum percentile criteria are considered as qualified. All the merit lists for the national quota of 50% and state quota for MS/MD or PG Diploma courses will be announced on the official website of NEET PG 2018. In a case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the competitive entrance examination, their inter se merit will be determined according to age; older will get preference over younger.

After the results of NEET PG 2018 are declared, NBE releases several merit lists depending on various quotas, the details of which are as follows:

  1. All India NEET-PG 2018 rank: This is the overall merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET-PG 2018.
  2. All India 50% rank quota: This is the overall merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET-PG 2018 for All India 50% quota. It is valid only for All India 50% quota MD/MS/Post-Graduate Diploma Courses 2018 admission session.
  3. All India 50% Category Rank quota: This is the overall merit position of the candidate in the category (OBC/SC/ST) as opted by the candidate in the NEET –PG 2018 for All India 50% quota. It is valid only for All India 50% quota MD/MS/Post-Graduate Diploma Courses 2018 admission session only.
  4. State quota/ Private medical colleges/Deemed University/AFMS Rank: This rank serves the purpose to determine state quota rank, state category rank, the benefit for In-service candidates, rural posting (if applicable).
