National Board of Examination (NBE) has declared the NEET PG 2018 Rank for all the candidates who had attended the NEET PG 2018 entrance exam. This NEET PG 2018 ranking is according to the merit list released on February 15. It is available in the form of PDF. NEET PG merit list 2018 displays the name of the candidate, testing ID, category, scores, All India Rank and eligibility status. NEET PG 2018 merit list is the basis for admission to 50% All India Quota seats in all government medical colleges. The list will not be sent individually to candidates for only those candidates who secured minimum qualifying marks.
NEET PG 2018 was conducted on January 7, for admission to around 35,000 postgraduate medical seats in 153 medical colleges across India. The exam was held in the computer-based mode in a single session. Nearly, 1, 30,000 aspirants took the entrance examination. In the previous year, a total of 31,330 aspirants were included in NEET PG merit list for 50% All India Quota seats.
NEET PG 2018 Merit List and its types:
Below are the NEET PG 2018 merit lists that are to be prepared for admission to 50% All India Quota and state quota seats.
- All India NEET PG 2018 rank– This merit list displays the overall rank of the candidates who appeared and qualified the entrance test. The NEET PG 2018 merit list will be irrespective of candidate’s domicile.
- All India 50% Quota rank– It is the overall merit rank of the candidates who appeared in NEET PG 2018 for 50% All India Quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma and MDS courses.
- Category rank at all India level – 50% all India Quota seats will be allotted for candidates in a particular category (OBC/SC/ST) as opted by candidates in NEET PG 2018.
- Private medical colleges/Deemed universities/AFMS rank/state quota – As per state eligibility criteria and reservation guidelines the state quota merit rank will be determined by the designated state counseling conducting authority.
NEET PG 2018 Merit List for 50% All India Quota seats:
The conducting authority, NBE, will declare the cutoff scores which must be achieved by candidates. Eligible candidates who secured NEET PG cutoff for 50% quota seats at all India level will be included in NEET PG 2018 merit list. Only candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir will not be included in the merit list. However, aspirants nominated by the Government of India under central pool seats for completing MBBS degree from a medical college in the above states will be eligible for 50% All India Quota seats.
